Famous Chipmaker Snapdragon is making a huge success in the market and Snapdragon 888 is currently running successfully in the market. But the tech industry is always curious about innovation and keeps coming with better ideas to maintain excitement in the geeks. Qualcomm is about to launch its brand new Snapdragon 898 this year and it is expected that this chip might line up with the Mi 12 series. It is expected that Snapdragon 898 will power most of the devices from the year 2022 but it might debut this year.
This expectation is due to one important reason and that is Mi 11 series was the first to feature Snapdragon 888 processor. So following the pattern it is expected M1 12 will be the first to launch the latest Snapdragon Processor 898.
How fast is Snapdragon 898?
Techies are claiming this processor to be faster by about 15% as compared to its prior Snapdragon 888 processor. Qualcomm revealed the Geekbench score of Snapdragon 898 which are 1200 in single-core and 3900 in multi-core. If we compare this with any of the previous processors then we can find out the real state. Xiaomi Mi 10 is powered by Snapdragon 865 chipset and its score on the Geekbench as of date 8 Nov 2021 is 759 in single-core and 2628 in multi-core.

Snapdragon 898 Specifications (Expected)
It is expected that this chipset will feature the Adreno 730 GPU unit for the graphics and may include the Snapdragon X65 5G modem for better internet speed. As we clearly saw in the above table that the device is 58% faster than the Mi 10 device with Snapdragon 865 device so a better internet speed is a must. X65 5G modem can give a downlink speed of 10 Gbps.
Mi 12 can launch in three different variants- Mi 12, Mi 12 Pro, Mi 12 Ultra. It is expected that Mi 12 Pro and Mi 12 Ultra might launch in year 2022. It is expected that Mi 12 series will feature a 120 Hz refresh rate display with a 2k resolution. The official specs are yet to come.
